We are thrilled to be have Melissa Wehrle coming to Looped Saturday, June 8th from 12-3PM for a book signing and trunk show! Melissa will be bringing garments from her new book  "Metropolitan Knits: Chic Designs for Urban Style" as well as speaking about what inspires her.  Melissa has published patterns in Interweave, Twist Collective and Knitscene. We are so incredibly excited to have Lollipop Yarn in store! Lollipop has a huge following on etsy ..when she posts her new colors, it sells out in 10 minutes! Dupont-Kalorama Museum Walk Weekend, June 1 and 2nd

We love being located in Dupont Circle, and we love to support our neighborhood and our local hand dyers! Saturday, June 1st (10-4PM) and Sunday June 2nd (1-5PM) is the 30th Annual Museum Walk Weekend. It is a great opportunity to visit 9 mseums in the Dupont- Kalorama neighborhood. Admission is free at all 9 sites and as an added bonus, bring in your walk brochure (available at any of the 9 museums) and you will get 15% off your purchase, thru the weekend! And as an extra special added bonus, we will have a yarn specially dyed for the Walk Weekend by Wandering Wool, a local dyer!Visit the Walk website for a listing of the 9 participating museums as well as a map and shuttle bus info. The Dupont-Kalorama Museum Consortium was established to promote "off the Mall" museums as well as the neighborhood.

1st KIP (Knit in the Park) this Sunday, May 19th..11-2PM!

It's time to start knitting out loud!  We'll pick up our Knitting in the Park (formerly known as SSK!) on Sunday May 19th. We'll be there from 11-2PM, so stop by for all or any of it! The details are as follows..we'll meet at Dupont Circle; you bring your knitting or crochet and a chair or blanket..we'll bring some goodies to give out! Check the calendar for our future meetings...in the case of inclement weather we'll meet at the shop, in the 3rd Floor classroom.
