Kirsten Kapur Workshop- Kanagawa Mitts
- No upcoming events or classes.
We are so pleased to have been able to re-schedule Kirsten and her Kanagawa Mitt Workshop! In this 3 our workshop you will learn to: Read colorwork charts, do colorwork knitting with two hands, the Latvian Braid, and work on controlling your tension in colorwork.
Pre-requiisites for this class are: knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, knitting small circumferences in the round, wither on DPN's or Magic Loop
Please bring to class: the pattern for Kanagawa Mitts (available here or we can purchase it thru ravelry Pro in the shop for you)
Sport Weight yarn in two or more colors - no sock yarn please, it is too fine for this pattern and the tighter twist on sock yarn shows inconsistencies in tension too much. (Cascade 220 Sport or madtosh sport for instance)
Needles in the following sizes: US 1, US 2, US 3 & US 4 (gauge varies quite a bit in colorwork and we may need to adjust needle sizes so that everyone gets gauge. Students may bring either DPN's or circular for magic looping depending on their preferred technique for small circumference knitting.) Stitch markers
