Intro to Colorwork

Just in time for Maryland Sheep and Wool—learn how to make the hat that makes all the sheep go wild: Donna Smith’s Baa-ble hat. You’ll be able to try out a variety of stranded techniques for both continental, combination and English styles to find what works best for your style of knitting. We’ll also cover color dominance, the basics of color theoryand how to catch your floats.
Materials to bring:
- Download and bring a copy of Donna Smith’s Baa-ble Hat, available on Ravelry
- 16″ circular needles in both US 6 and 7
- Aran-weight yarn in four colors: 100+ yards each, though you’ll need less for whichever color you choose for the faces and feet of the sheep
