Intro to Stranded Colorwork
November 14 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Paint some snowy sheep with yarn, just in time of the holidays: Donna Smith’s Baa-ble hat. Join Stephanie for an introduction to stranded knitting. We’ll try out a variety of stranded techniques for both continental, combination and English styles to find what works best for your style of knitting. We’ll also cover color dominance, the basics of color theory and how to catch your floats.
- Purchase and print a copy of Donna Smith’s Baa-ble Hat
- 16″ circular needles in both US6 and US7
- Aran weight yarn in four colors: 100+ yards of each, though you’ll need less for whichever color you choose for the faces and feet of the sheep
Homework: Knit the ribbing of your hat
