$125Make the popular Songbird Sweater pattern by Knit Sisu! In this class series/KAL (March 8, 15, 22 & 29), you’ll learn top-down raglan sweater construction, magic loop techniques, cabling, personalized measurement guides and tips for those tricky sleeve pickups. Instruction and knitting will take place during class hours, but at-home knitting may be required between classes.
Skills required: This is for the advanced beginner and up. Please understand how to knit, purl and knit in the round.
Materials to bring from home or purchase:
- Pattern will be provided in class.
- 734-1285 yds of worsted weight yarn–see Ravelry page here for yardage amounts for your size.
- Sizes US9 and US10 with 40″ cords (or preferred needles for collars, sleeves, etc). Please hold on purchasing needles if you are unsure about your gauge. Gauge can be checked and needles adjusted in first class.
- Stitch markers, darning needle and scrap yarn or barber cords.
Homework: Please come with your gauge swatch ready. Using same worsted weight yarn being used for the sweater, knit 16 stitches and 23 rows in stockinette with the US10 needle.
