An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Friday, repeating until January 31, 2020
With the cold weather coming, what better time to learn how to keep your toes toasty? Learn how to make the Rye or Rye Light socks from Tin Can Knits’ Simple Collection. You can knit these socks up in either worsted (Rye) or fingering (Rye Light). In this class we will learn how to cast on the cuff, turn heels, pick up a gusset and decrease for the toes. We will also discuss techniques to help fortify your socks for long-term wear.
- Download a copy of Tin Can Knits pattern of Rye Light OR Rye
- One skein of fingering weight yarn OR worsted weight yarn (depending on pattern you choose)
- Size US 1/22 OR Size US 3/5 needles (depending on pattern you choose). Can either use double points, flexi-flips or 32″ circular.
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
